    Thanks Warwick, let us investigate…

I am also wondering how to remove Custom icons. I’ve deleted and re-installed the plugin, and issues with custom icons persist. Specifically, the src of the custom icon from the media library is not getting set. Unchecking the Custom, then trying again results in multiple custom icons with no src set, and no way to delete the duplicates.

Thanks for any insight – I can add you as a temp user, just let me know

Hello! I was having the exact same issues (img src not being set for custom icons and then not being able to delete them). I added allow_url_fopen = on to my php.ini file, and updated to the most recent version (I had downgraded to see if that would work), and the custom images are now uploading properly. However, there is still no way to delete the broken ones, so having to uninstall, reinstall, and start fresh.

    Thanks!

Thanks vkean. We improved the plugin code, will upload it in the next days. Rdgs, John

Same here. We’ve upload several icons, playing with different formats and sizes but this only results in empty boxes on the icons div. Removing them on media library or reinstalling the plugin doesn’t work ??

Please, give us a solution. Thanks.

Thanks Gerardus. As mentioned the new plugin which will be released soon should have this fixed. Also, please set “allow_url_fopen” to on. Rgds, John

I’ve been running this plugin on my local site for weeks and my live site for just over a week with no issues until today. In the past, I have uploaded and removed several custom icons without any issues until today. I upload a new custom icon, same dimensions & format (png) as some of the previous custom icons but this time around the icon & link was immediately broken upon updating.

Tried many time to remove the custom icon, which the plugin did not allow. Disabled & deleted the plugin several times. Searched my plugin folder for any traces of Ultimate SM Icons and the custom icons previous uploads with no results.

Wiped cookies, browser cache, etc… Tried uploading several new icons to the custom icon field but problem persists. Even a fresh install of the plugin will not allow for a second custom icon to be uploaded once I upload the first one (which always immediately crashes the icon & link).

Sounds related to the previous issues in this thread yet all this happened today with the latest version of USMI. Was ready to give a 5-star review until this issue popped up. Plugin is essentially useless for me now as custom icons are necessary for me. Any ideas?
