How to remove close button

I removed the close button from the files, but there is a gray button “close” on the bottom.
What I would like is require an email everytime someone goes on the page. The submit will tell if the user is already registered.
1. Go to CSS folder
2. Edit file colorbox.css
3. remove close styling for #cboxClose{ }
