How to remove child item from the main menu

  • I have 1 page with several subpages, the client will add more pages weekly and does not want to see them in the menu.

    My question is:
    How can I hide/disable all child pages of a certain menu item from the main menu.

    I understood I have to do something with “wp_list_pages”, but I’m not sure in which file and how do I implement this?
