How to redirect tones of 404 to home page?

    Almost 2 years ago I moved from Joomla to WordPress and I receive now plenty of 404 links from old website. They usually comes from old gallery, started from:

    /images/galerie/something/something2/file.jpg

    The urls are various, but /images/galerie/ is always on top.

    I want to redirect all these 404 to homepage. How can I do that? I know nothing about regex. Please help ??
