• Hello together,
I have an existing page what is separated into several Subdomains for each categorie. It is a simple static page, and so it is always the need for ftp tools and editors and everything.

After now foer years working with the website in that state, i want to stop it, there should be an easier way for it. More comfortable for my users and also easy to make any kind of updates whenever i have something new to add.

Wird WordPress i have this tool. It has its categories, an web based editor what really everybody is able to use.
So i startet to think how to make it work for me also that easy.
But after lot of installs and trys with the htaccess i couldn’t find out, how to point a category directly to a subdomain, or a subdomain to the category.

I had a while ago an website script, that created ‘invisible’ subs and .html files .. i just created in an admin interface the file wordpress.html (or subdomain wordpress) and when i opend then https://example.com/wordpress.html / https://wordpress.example.com/ it opend the websites i defined. But on the server was nothing like these files or folders. it all worked with some kind of wildcard subdomain and an htaccess i really really don’t understand.

Maybe here somebody has an idea how to get wordpress to show categories instead of folders in subdomains.

    Kind Regards
    Caylean
