How to recover deleted posts?

If you just deleted them and didn’t empty the trash, you can go to the Posts screen. Then at the top, it should list links for All, Published and Trash. To view (and restore) the deleted posts, click on the Trash.

If you deleted the trash, then you won’t be able to recover them I’m afraid…unless you have a backup of your database from before you deleted them.

Senff is right. If you deleted the trash, try contacting your host to see if they have a backup of your files which you could use. Most hosts actually do a good job of regularly backing up your server.

The entire month of May disappeared, including posts, pages and changes. There were two reviews with comments that are now missing. There is no trash in my posts section and I did not make any changes to cause this. It just happened while I was away!

Whoa! This is getting too confusing with two different people with significantly different problems in the same thread. Since no two problems are the same, always start a new thread if you want help with a similar problem.

Supratim does not sound like he deleted posts. Rather, a couple of Posts were added on his old site AFTER he copied it to his new site.

cariluvs probably is not a victim of someone logging on and deleting her Posts either. Most likely answer is a web host that had a storage failure and recovered from an older backup. Of course, there are other possibilities. Best to check your host’s automatic backups and with your host’s support folks. Would be worthwhile trying to narrow down the problem to Files, Database or Both by checking if any Upload folders from May exist.
