How to receive email notification for booking done from vikbooking backend

Thanks for your message. We understand what you’re looking for, but unfortunately the back-end operations will not trigger an email sending function for the administrators, I’m sorry.

We do not recommend editing the core files or you won’t be able to install future updates, and if you need to implement this function, then the most we can suggest is to try and intercept this event through some native hooks triggered by VikBooking. This way through a custom-coded plugin you could implement your own email sending function.

Alternatively, we suggest using the native functionalities of VikBooking to always be informed of new bookings created by an administrator. For example, using the admin-widget “Latest Events” and by filtering for the event of type “New booking by administrator” you could have a quick list of all manual reservations created through the back-end section of your website.

Thank you for sharing the information. Really appreciate it.
Our simple goal is to have some information available on our email ID about the booking received. We are not planning to modify the core plugin as you rightly suggested that some or other thing might go wrong. Developing a third party plugin is not on the cards as of now. I wish your team can consider to add this small facility for paid plugin users. It will save a lot of our time.
