• Hi!

    I have been trying for hours to get my revslides as the header of my homepage but I have not been sucessful. I have tried the following codes in the theme header.php and and the index.php:

    <?php putRevSlider(‘slider1’, ‘2,10’); ?>

    <?php echo do_shortcode(“[rev_slider alias=”slider1″]”); ?>

    <?php
    echo do_shortcode(“[metaslider id=65]”);
    ?>

    and other variations of the sort but nothing seems to help.

    Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks

    The blog I need help with is citytripboedapest.wordpress.com.

  • Hi there,

    The blog I need help with is citytripboedapest.wordpress.com

    You’re currently posting to the www.remarpro.com forums, but your site is hosted on WordPress.com.

    You won’t be able to add plugins like Revslider to a site on WordPress.com, however. You would need to use a self-hosted site like your https://citytrip-boedapest.nl site (which uses a different theme) in order to have Revslider.

    I have tried the following codes in the theme header.php and and the index.php

    @dcoleonline – They said they edited the header.php and index.php files on their site. I assume they can’t they do that on a WordPress.com site?

    @annabelle90 – can you clarify the url of the site where you ultimately want the slider to appear in the Shoreditch theme?

    Is it https://citytrip-boedapest.nl/ (a self-hosted site listed in your profile)

    or

    https://citytripboedapest.wordpress.com ?

    I assume they can’t they do that on a WordPress.com site?

    @gary-barrett: That’s correct.

    The citytrip-boedapest.nl site isn’t currently using Shoreditch, but citytripboedapest.wordpress.com is.

    Once we know the URL, we’ll be able to offer some suggestions.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your help. The site was previously hosted by wordpress.com but I have switched to an other host and there I have been able to post the shortcode in a php code to make it work!

    Thanks again!

    Annabelle
