How to put posts in accordion

Dear all,

I have searched forums and tutorials but I can’t manage to collapse my posts on the main page. I want to display just the latest post in text and a couple of the older ones in a list with permalinks to the whole post. Do I need to change in the php files or can I use plugins? I have tried sereval plugins.
