How to put image in menu sidebar

If you know HTML, then you can add the HTML code to a Text widget in your sidebar. That is, go to Appearance → Widgets, drag a Text widget into your sidebar, and then add the HTML code for your DVD image.

Thanks. I found other people who said the same thing on other threads before I posted my question. Problem is there is no ‘sidebar’ in my ‘widgets’ under ‘appearance’. There is only a ‘blog sidebar’. Nothing happens to my main menu/navigation bar when I add anything to this, only the bar at the bottom of my posts.

Sadly I do not yet know html, I am just starting to learn it.

Well, it’s not going to go in the menu/navigation bar, because that’s not where the widget area is located. I’m surprised it’s showing up in the footer. The three things I see in the footer are Main Menu, Get in Touch (social media buttons), and Contact Info. The sidebar should be along the right side on your sub-pages (not the home page). Can you please provide a link to your site?

Sorry if I don’t explain thing properly, I am new to WordPress and web building.

I am not sure how to give you a link because I am not ready to launch my site. My site is a movie site and we don’t want fans to find it yet.

I added an image in my menu item image (Appearance- Menus- Menu structure-Page dropdown- Menu item image)and it links to the page, just like I wanted!

The only problem is that the image is not centered, it is hugging the right side of the menu bar.

I did open a different thread for that problem, so I suppose I should close this thread…
