How to put Carrousel on a static page with only header and body

I’m trying to use Genesis Carrousel Slider on eleven40 on a static page but cannot figure out how make it work.
I have:
– configured the page as the front page on Seetings | Reading.
– created widget Slider1 using Genesis Simple Sidebars.
– set Slider1 as primary sidebar on page.
– inserted Genesis Carrousel Slider into Slider1 widget.
– configured page layout to two pieces (no sidebar): header and body.
Nothing is shown.
If I change page layout to 3 parts, and associate Carrousel to sidebar1 it works fine.
But I must put the Carrousel inside the body, not the sidebar.
Can you give me a clue?
