How to pull the_field on to category page?

Hello

I have a custom taxonomy (created with custom post type ui)… I’ve created a custom field for a custom taxonomy, let’s called it “project_category” … When editing project_category I add the text into the custom field. In the template for that taxonomy-project_category.php page I’ve added “the_field” code to pull it into the page. It works on pages and posts, but doesn’t appear to work on cat pages. Is this possible?
