How to publish to personal LinkedIn profile without creating company page

  • I just installed this plugin. I’m trying to publish my WordPress posts to my personal LinkedIn profile (not a company page). Under the settings, for the “V2 API usage”, I see these three options. I think “Own app – basic profile fields only” is what I want, right? However, when I choose that, the message on top says I have to create a linkedin application before filling in the following details. The click here to create new Linkedin application link guides me through creating a company page, which then prompts for what kind of company I am representing. I am not a company – I am just doing this as an individual.

    How can I get this to just publish WordPress posts to my personal LinkedIn account?

  • You can’t create an app without a page, just create a page and connect it with app.
    Own app – basic profile fields only is required to post to profile.
