Yoast SEO doesn’t allow you to define your own data in the schema markup from the individual page level. It will only allow you to select different types of schema markup for particular posts or pages.

    Thanks Khan.

So how do I provide data, say for e.g. for a Recipe schema?

    Hi,

We understand you would like to add recipe schema to your site. Our developers are considering a recipe plugin. See https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/16202#issuecomment-707816299 for more information. If you would like to be kept aware of new features, we suggest signing up for our newsletter as that is where we will announce product changes and updates. You may sign-up for it here https://yoast.com/ by scrolling towards the bottom to complete the sign-up field.

In the meantime, the only workaround is to use our documentation here https://developer.yoast.com/customization/apis/overview/ to force Yoast to output the schema on those pages.

Unfortunately, there’s a difference between the support we can offer and the level of programming needed to change (core) features of our plugin. Since we don’t want to take the risk that we break your website by suggesting incorrect or incomplete code, we cannot advise you on how to make such changes. And even though we cannot be of any assistance, you’re completely free to change anything in the plugin to better suit your needs.

We highly recommend checking out?our list of Yoast Partners here https://yoast.com/yoast-partners/ in case you are in need of development.

We will also keep this issue open for 1 week in case someone from the community can help. Perhaps a developer watching these forums can assist further. After which, we will close in order to keep the overview.
