How To Properly "TAG" Images

Using the Yoast plugin to tag my images throughout my site (all are cartoons of course) and see samples on this page for instance: https://danscartoons.com/category/bigfoot/ and underneath first image of bigfoot sitting on log (below social sharing buttons), I have: “relaxing” and “sitting”….since the image is a cartoon, would it be advisable to add “cartoon” after each tag? I mean: “relaxing cartoon” and “sitting cartoon”? Or would over-use of the term “cartoon” be considered spamming?
