As Admin, how do I change the “date” of a post in order to bump it back up to the top of the front page temporarily? Is there a way to change the “order” of the posts?

Along those lines, is there a way to “sticky” a post to the top of the front page indefinitely?

    thanks so much

  • In settings -> read you can specify a sticky page
    will that be sufficient?

    opajaap,
    Thanks for that tip.
That shows me how to set a static sticky page.

But what about changing the order of the posts on the front page?
I have an important post (event) I would like to be at the top for a few days. But it was input first so it’s now been buried by 8 other posts.
How do I reset the post date of that one item?
Or sticky it at the top?

      Open WP-admin
Open your posts (look in the left-side menu)
Hover over the post you want to change and click on edit
Look in the right corner of your screen. Here you see the phrase ‘published on’. Click on edit and change the date to current.
