    Hi

Just been reading new guidance on the PECR “cookie law” from the ICO that came out this week. It seems we are not allowed to set non-essential cookies without explicit consent BEFORE they are set, i.e. needing a pop-up.

To avoid having to put such a pop-up on my site, how do I stop it setting the wp_woocommerce_session cookie when the user arrives? It can be set once they click to add something to their basket, as that constitutes a specific action for which a cookie would be required.

Anyone know how I can do this? Is there a hook or filter I can use?

    Thanks!

    Tim
