How to Prevent Theme from Overriding Gutenberg Styling?
-
Is there a way to prevent my theme’s css styling from overriding the Gutenberg block styling. It’s a bit difficult to explain with screenshots, but basically I’m trying to use the “Cover” block.
I’m able to load the image, type the text I want to appear and have it linked to the content page. It looks great in the backend. However, once I save and view the page in the front end, the cover blocks just appear with the image slightly tinted, the text overlay is missing and the image is not clickable (no longer a link).
I assume this has to do with my theme’s style overriding whatever code the Gutenburg “Cover” block is using. How to deal with this issue?
Also, I notice other 3rd party plugins don’t have this issue when I use their blocks. It seems like I’m seeing this not only with this Cover block, but also the “Subscription form” block. Does anyone know of a solution?
If I could provide screenshots I would, but you can also see what I’m explaining on this page: https://www.eatwithohashi.com/foodie-life/food-talk/love-kewpie-but-cant-get-it-or-want-no-msg-heres-an-easy-solution-from-my-kitchen/
Thanks for any help!
