how to prevent Core WordPress do automatic update for my wordpress

Hi all,

Is there a way to prevent the core WordPress to STOP automatically update my WordPress or plugins without my permission?

I’m using this plugin “WP Disable Automatic Updates” to prevent the automatic update, but it seems the plug-in doesn’t work anymore.
Wordpress silently update my WordPress yesterday, and now it becomes WP 4.7.1 that caused many errors to my homepage: <link>myfunfoodiary.com</link>

Not only the homepage, but several articles become damaged, and got the same error message. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
