    Hi,

I am seeing lots of flooding with “AWS search” on google analytics (that is not a page of our website). I have set rate limiting and other firewall stuff but still seeing this. Also have disabled the xmlrpc stuff. Don’t know how to stop it.

So far, we know it is a bot trying to flood and slowdown the website but no idea where to look for and how to stop it. Google analytics report is of also not much of a help. Live traffic report on Wordfence doesn’t show that either.

    Any suggestions, arreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hi @d88pak

A very common problem people have is fake traffic being seen in Google Analytics.

Bots can use your Google Analytics tracking code on a completely different site and submit fake traffic directly to Google Analytics. This is called ghost referrer spam and ghost referrer spam never reaches your website. Thus this traffic will not be visible in your Wordfence Live Traffic page feed and it is not possible to block this traffic by adding any code to your website. Instead, you have to set filters in Google Analytics to filter out such traffic from your results. You can find some more information about that below:
