    Hi,

Recently I’ve asked if users get points when they load their posts themselves.
Now, I’d like to know is there any preventive measure you have for users to not abuse reloading their own links so they get points?

I run a website where users are eager to earn points and I worry that users will keep reloading their own links while logged out so the points get counted. I can imagine a user who will keep loading her own links to earn points.

    Thank you!

  • Hi @anneyu,
    Thank you for contacting us,
“WP-PostViews” settings have an option “Count views from”.

You can set it to “Registered users only” so only the registered users will be able to get the views when they view a post also our plugin is working with “WP-PostViews” when “WP-PostViews” gives count a view then our Plugin will share the points with the Author. If you have any issue related to the abusive reloading you can contact the “WP-PostViews” support team. If “WP-PostViews” doesn’t provide views on abusive reloading then our plugin also won’t do it.
