Hi there, I can’t handle that Ultimate Member needs me to create and use a child theme only to preserve my Email templates and not loose them with an update.

Reasons why it might not be practicable to create and use a child theme:

    • the site is using a third party child theme which is getting regular updates
    • site is using theme XY now but is planning to use another theme soon
    • the admin is (desperately) trying to keep it simple

You can try the “Oxygen Builder Custom Email and Profile Templates” plugin.
You can create your own folder for the templates, default is theme-oxygen
and is located in the wp-content folder.

Thanks. I did not yet find the time to look into the Oxygen Builder plugin.

For now, I have disabled auto-updates for the theme and when I have a theme update, I will restore the ultimate-member folder afterwards.
