How to predetermine how new site looks

  • Hi Everybody

    I’m creating a site for young kids age 8-15’ish. I hope that some of them in the older group would like to create their own site, using the multisite option. However it’s a bit daunting for kids that age to look at a default setup and learn what they need, to make it look cool.

    Is it possible for me to make a setup where I decide the background image, which widgets are placed in the sidebars and stuff like that?

    Any idea would be greatly appreciated as I have searched long and wide for this, and this far only found this plugin ‘cets_blog_defaults’.

    There are plugins that can set new blog defaults, but it depends on how much you want to pre-setup for them. You may want to design a standard blog, and then use Blog Copier to duplicate it so they have a good-to-go theme and site, and can modify from there.
