How can I pause this email alerts – “BPS Alert: The /bulletproof-security/ plugin folder has been renamed or deleted” via cPanel? As my client’s site is under maintenance and I couldn’t access the admin dashboard to disable it.

    Kindly advise, thanks.

This alert was removed in later versions of BPS. So your client has an older version of BPS installed. The best thing to do would be to download the most current BPS zip file, extract the BPS zip file on your computer, delete the old /wp-content/plugins/bulletproof-security/ plugin folder and then use FTP to upload the /bulletproof-security/ plugin folder that you extracted to your computer to your client’s /wp-content/plugins/ folder. If you are still getting the BPS email alerts then delete this file > /wp-content/mu-plugins/bps-mu-tools.php. The reason you might need to delete the bps-mu-tools.php file would be that your client is not logged into their website. In order for BPS to automatically update the older bps-mu-tools.php file with a new bps-mu-tools.php file requires that you log into your wp-admin area once.

    Hi BPS,

By removing the bps-mu-tools.php plugin, it works, thank you!

One more question: If the clients reactivate and update the plugin, the new bps-mu-tools.php will be automatically added to the empty wp-content/mu-plugins folder?

    Kindly advise, thanks.

If they still have an older version of the BPS plugin installed then it will start sending email alerts again if the BPS plugin folder has been renamed or deleted. Newer versions of BPS no longer have that check/alert. So your client should upgrade to the most current version of BPS if they decide to activate and/or use the BPS plugin again.
