How to pass wordpress username data is another script?

    Are you creating these profile pages with a plugin? Normal profile pages have urls like this: /wp-admin/user-edit.php?user_id=4&wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2Fusers.php
    or this /wp-admin/profile.php

    I currently have a template installed called directorypress, when I log as a user I see this page:
    https://mysite.com/my-account/

    I have just looked at my template and found this:

    <h1><?php echo get_the_author(); ?></h1>

    Could this not be the one?

    If this is a commercial theme/plugin, we cannot really help. You need to seek support from the theme/plugin vendors.
