How to pass data from dialog box to plugin?

  • Hi,
    I’m quite new to WordPress plugin development. I have a plugin, and I have managed to make it display a checkbox option in the image upload dialog box. How might I make the plugin perform a function if that checkbox is selected, when the image is inserted into a post?

    I’ve seen another plugin where a link to the plugin function was displayed on the image upload dialog box. But I don’t find that very elegant.
