    What are /[object HTMLInputElement] errors?

Thanks for a quick reply John. Mostly for all my posts, like /contact-info-etc/[object HTMLInputElement] , /interviews/[object HTMLInputElement] , songs/can-you-hear-the-music/[object HTMLInputElement], and it goes on forever.

But what do you mean by errors? They are showing in the 404 log? They are appearing on pages somewhere?

They’re appearing on the section I mentioned, and I’ve never seen that before, if that helps,

Ok, you’ve gone back and edited your original message to include more details. How do you want to solve it? The log is showing 404 requests on your site. What you do depends on your site and the requests. Are they real requests? If so then you should look at the details and try to determine where the requests are coming from. Are they bots? If so you can ignore them.

All available information is in the log and with the context of your site.

Thanks John. How could I know if they’re bots and/or where they come from?
<All available information is in the log and with the context of your site.So where can I find that?
Once again, I’ve been running Redirect for a couple of years and I’ve never seen this [object HTMLInputElement]? thing. 12,683 items now! Please advise once again.

Thanks in advance for your help!

You can use the information in the log (referrer, user agent, IP) to see where the request is coming from and use that, within the context of your site, to determine if it’s likely a real request or not.

User agent shows things like Mozilla, facebookexternalhit, and lots of other things I don’t know about. About 1550 items on “IP”. I mean my blog started going really bad in the last few days (besides the last Google core update, which made me lost 90% of its traffic) Sorry I thought I was hacked or something, if there’s any relation between that chance and the [object HTMLInputElement] thing at all, I mean. Could it be?

I couldn’t say. The log just shows requests that result in a 404. It doesn’t give the wider context or the reason for these requests. I don’t know what you mean by going really bad, but these may be unrelated events.

OK John, I just got concerned (and way too much, I guess) as, once before, I never saw this kind of 404s before, let alone by the thousands (they sure weren′t there last night or ever before) If it’s all unrelated events, I should stop worrying about them now and thanks again for your support!
