• Hi, I am Herlambang.

I don’t want to use Front Page Template as the homepage because the rankmath plugin doesn’t work. The rankmath plugin only work when I add new page from ‘Pages’ menu. I want to use and set new homepage via ‘Pages’. Because when I try set new homepage from ‘Pages’, the Front Page Template from ‘Appearance-Editor’ menu, it always override the new homepage I’ve created from ‘Pages’ menu. How could I do that? Thank you.

    Hi there,

Currently, the only way to do that would be by renaming front-page.html to home.html inside the theme templates folder. But the changes will be overwritten after theme updates, so that is not ideal.

We would like to change it in the future updates if we could, but that would broke a lot of websites, so we are not sure how we can fix that.

    Best regards,
    Shufflehound team

Good news, we found a better way on how to fix it.

    Please follow this guide:

    1. Download and install our latest beta version
    2. Create a new page (Pages > Add New)
      1. Under summary set Template to “Page (without title)”
      2. Add patterns and modify the content as needed
    3. Set the page as Homepage (Settings > Reading > Your homepage displays)
    4. Open the front page template (Appearance > Editor > Templates > Front Page)
      1. Backup the content (if needed)
      2. Delete all blocks/content
      3. Add pattern “Front page (inherits homepage content)” (+ button > Patterns > Enter name inside the search)
      4. View your homepage

Let us know if that works ??
