How to override CSS in CoolWP theme

  • I am assisting a non-profit with their website migration from https://fcsg.fccan.org/ to https://fccan.net/ (which is also from a Drupal to WordPress platform). As you can see by comparing the two, the appearance is still dissimilar, but I would like to duplicate the old style as much as possible.

    Having trouble getting CSS changes to work; just adding CSS in the Theme Customization dashboard does not seem to affect anything.

    Inspecting the elements with Chrome, I see that CoolWP has its own CSS settings; any suggestions from the developers on how best to go about overriding that?
