• Hello,

I have correctly set SMTP up, and it’s working after the test.
However, when I try to insert the SMTP registered email into the “From” field of the mail form in Contact Form 7 (it’s a hotmail.com domain), it says that there is a configurational error:

!(configuration error) Sender email address does not belong to the site domain.

I actually do not get any emails from my contact form on the website.

    Thank you for your help!

    Giulia

  • Hi, have you tried other email addresses? Who is your host? You might also like to try the following troubleshooting steps.

    Hello there,

    Thank you for your response!

The issue is not with the SMTP set up, as this has been tested and works; the problem is that Contact Form does not recognize the email I registered with SMTP; it says that -being a hotmail.com email- that’s not a domain-registered email.

    Could you perchance help?

    Thank you,

    Giulia

Hi, in that case you will need to speak to the contact form plugin support about this issue. Unfortunately there is not much I can do to help you troubleshoot this issue since it is not related to our plugin.

Let me know what Contact Form 7 support say.

    Thank you
