How To Overlay 3 Separate Texts On Header Image

How can I (a beginner) overlay 2 or preferably 3 text sections on top of the header image (photo of planet earth). Right now, I can only get one text section to be overlaid (the white font on the top left). The yellow font is embedded into the photo as part of the photo but I would much prefer to make the verse in yellow to also be a text section that is not part of the JPEG image.

I need each text section to be separate because I would like to play around with the location of the text such that each text section is totally separate/independent of the other.
