• Hi I need to create a WordPress site to be used by a Teaching institute. They need a students section which will have a list of courses (around 20) each having their own section with a number of menu items (some of them being one pagers such as a timetable, with others being more of a blog-style, for example the articles menu item, which will have a number of articles posted every now and then. My question is how best to organise this content in WordPress. There will be quite a number of pages and I want to make it as user-friendly and intuitive as possible for the administrators of the institute as they are not very technical. Any advice? thanks

  • each having their own section with a number of menu items (some of them being one pagers such as a timetable,

    Maybe Pages and child pages

Also consider using Custom Fields and plugins like Custom Field Templates and Custom Field Taxonomies to help organize your input of data.

Before spending a lot of time, it might be worthwhile installing WordPress at the institute (say in a subfolder of web-root), creating a few pages with custom fields, a few categories, a few tags, a few posts, and see how they like the process of writing and posting.
