    Hi!

I’d like to know how to properly optimize my homepage, so it shows up properly in Google. Currently it shows: “The Hergula: Home”. This is not what I’ve set on Yoast. Through the Wizard (which I completed over a month ago), I wrote “The Hergula | Top List of Movies, Anime and Games”. It’s not showing up like this, and I’m wondering why?

Also, I’d like to mention that I’m using the “Newspaper Theme” from ThemeForest: https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609

    Much love!

  • Hi @thehergula!

We would like some more information to help us troubleshoot.

    1. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes updated?

    2. If you go to SEO-Search Appearance-General can you confirm the data listed there is correct? Note, that depending on how you set-up your site you may see a blue link asking you to edit the homepage itself. Please click on it and make sure the SEO Title is correct. If you do not see that, that is OK.

    3. In that same section you might see a feature called Force Rewrite of Titles. If you enable it does the title change? If you do not see that, that is OK.

    Hey!

I checked everything, at it seems that I must edit the homepage! It was simple as that. The only reason I missed it, was because of the pagebuilder from my theme! When I changed the order of the title, the tag line popped up! Seems like verything is working fine!

I apologize for wasting your time, but I’m not that savvy and appreciate the help!

    Much love!
