how to only display the top category in the URL using permalinks…

  • I was wondering if there is anyway to display on the top level category in the URL using the permalink feature…

    at the moment it is….

    domain.com/parentcat/childcat/postname

    Can I make it so that it is..

    domain.com/parentcat/postname

    Any advice would be great, thanks…
