How to move plugin strings from trunk to stable version for translation

A translator wants me to move my plugin strings to the stable version. As can be seen on the repository, there is a huge discrepancy between the stable and dev versions and I am not sure how to correct that. I also learned that only the stable version should be showing there Any Ideas?
