How To Move a Subcategory

I need help when I first started on WP I created a menu to navigate my post. In doing so I have a category titled Travel under it was a subcategory Tips. Recently I started writing more tips post but not all are about travel so I moved the subcategory Tips under the main heading of Lifestyle. After doing so I still have post showing up in my travel main menu even though I did not put them there. They are categorized as tips so wp still thinks they belong in travel. How do I change this so that when I categorize them as tips they go under lifestyle.

Note when I am in my post writing window the category of tip is under lifestyle so why isn’t my post going there.
