Hello. I have successfully added Yoast breadcrumbs to my page using these Yoast instructions. But I would like to modify the breadcrumbs slightly–how would I do that?

Specifically, I would like to add a level to the breadcrumbs. To illustrate, here is one of my pages with the breadcrumbs: https://thailandproperty-hh.com/phuket/property/new-condominium-for-sale/. The breadcrumb on that page displays as:

Home ? Properties ? New condominium for sale

I would like instead for it to display as:

Home ? Phuket ? Properties ? New condominium for sale

I realize this will require custom coding. But how would I approach it? Is there a hook I can use? Are there any Yoast-specific functions I can use to accomplish this?

I should perhaps note that the WordPress site in-question is a WordPress multi-site.

    Thanks.

There are two developer filters available to modify the breadcrumbs which are wp_seo_get_bc_title and wp_seo_get_bc_ancestors and you can read more about these here: https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/api/

Unfortunately we can’t offer support on custom code. Since we don’t want to take the risk that we break your website by suggesting incorrect or incomplete code, we cannot advise you on how to make such changes. Maybe someone watching these forums can assist you further, but if your topic is inactive for 7 days, we’ll mark it as resolved to keep the overview.

    Thank you for your understanding.
