How to modify the contact form 7 plugin to block URLs?

    Hello,

    I am trying to alter my contact form 7 plugin so I can block URLs and I see that someone modified the PHP code for the plugin I’m guessing. Not sure if there is a recommended file I should put my changes in so when I update the plugin, it doesn’t wipe my changes as well.

    Basically, it looks like I just need to do a regex check on the text that a site visitor enters and if it matches anything that resembles a website link, then block it. I got that idea but I’m not exactly sure where to put those changes (preferably somewhere that won’t easily get wiped after updating).
