    Hi,
I am using blog-in-blog plugin with the Mystique template so that blog posts get re-directed to other pages other than the Home page. So now the Home page doesn’t show the blog posts, which is good, but it is showing me a message that says “Oops nothing here”.
This message is in the “home.php” page, and I could go an edit this sentence to show something else, but is there a better way?

I also tried to create a “new page” and make that page the “home” page, but then I get the “Comments” section in it too, which I don’t want. I could turn off the “Comments” in the page.php, but I imagine this would turn off all the comment sections in all the pages, which I don’t want because blog-in-blog in routing all the blog posts to those pages and obviously I would want for people to comment.

So how can i create a “new page” , make it a static home page, but eliminate the comments section on ONLY that new home page?

    thank you

  • Create a static front page and untick “Allow comments” in the Discussion pane on the Edit Page. If you do not see this pane, click Screen Options followed by “Discussion”.

Thank you esmi, that worked!. The “Discussion” pane was not visible, so this is was made impossible for me to figure out how to turn off the Comments on the static page.
