how to modifiy lenght of posts tittles in evolve?

Hello,
I am using the theme evolve, but on my page, the tittles are not displayed correctly:
I found the fonction in order to select the number of caracters to display:
“Post Title Excerpt Length”
Enter number of characters for Post Title Excerpt. This works only if a grid layout is enabled.

but it doesn’t help me because it cut the worlds in the middle:: like “Hello how are you everyo”!! how to make the words be entire and not cut?
