    hi,

    i have a WP3 multi-site subdomain blog on my server : subdomain1.myserver.com

is there a plug-in or script that can easily migrate this subdomain
    to a new server & domain ( with a new WP3 installed ) ? : https://www.New-Domain.com

and if no script..then how can this be done manually?
    thanks

Erg. Not easily, but mostly because changing the URL of a multisite install is a major pain. You might be better off installing a fresh site on the new domain and then exporting the old and importing into the new.

If you have a lot of users, though, that may not work.

If you want to move everything, you’ll want to export the database via phpmyadmin or something similar, and search THAT for all instances of the old domain, replace it with the new. Then download everything from your domain with the wordpress install. Edit the wp-config file tp have the new domain and you should be okay.

    No, no script.

Do a db dump & a find & replace of the subdomain with the new domain, restore on the new server. check for same in wp-config & htaccess.

Digging up an old thread I know…

I’m looking to accomplish exactly the same as the original poster was. Are there any plugins out now that accomplish this, and if not, is there anybody who could tell me how to ‘Do a db dump & a find & replace of the subdomain with the new domain, restore on the new server’ please?

I could check wp-config and htaccess myself I think.

Thank you for any help with this.

    Update:

Got this working now so thanks to Andres_r for pointing me in the right direction. Once I’d worked out how to do a db dump and then find and replace that info, it was just a matter of uploading and ensuring wp-config was edited correctly.
