I’m creating a form and I want some fields to be automatically filled based on the user profile details.

In the form I created, their are fields where users can input some data and submit but I want fields asking the users to input their names to be automatically completed since the users are logged in.

    Hi @dongeti

    I hope you’re well today!

Forminator has a built-in feature for this.

You would want to go to the “Behavior” settings page of the form in question and there you’ll find “Enable Autofill” option.

Once enabled, you’ll see a list of existing form fields that can be automatically filled with user data and for each of them you can keep “Disable Autofill” set (it’s default) or select profile data that should be used to automatically pre-fill field. You can also decide if such field should be editable (so user can change pre-filled data) or not.

    Hello @dongeti ,

We haven’t heard from you for some time now, so it looks like you don’t need our assistance anymore.

Feel free to re-open this ticket if needed.

I have the same objective (I think) to auto fill two contact form fields for a logged in user (name, email).

I cannot locate the slider shown in the screencast posted by Adam.
The only option is a query key passed by URL, which as a newbie I don’t quite understand.

    Hi @esharksolutions

    Hope you are doing well!

If you see on your end the query parameter passed by URL, seems you accessed the field settings instead of the general Behavior settings. Please make sure you follow this steps:

    1. Open the form editor, you’ll see the list of fields. Make sure you have added a “Name” and “Email” field. In the same screen click on the “Behavior” tab. Please see the screenshot below:

    2. In the next page scroll down until you see the “Autofill” option as indicated in the next image:

    3. Once you reach the Autofill section, you can map the values as indicated below.

Hope this information helps. In case additional assistance is required, please open a new ticket, so we avoid sending notifications (spam) to the original poster of the request.

    Kind regards.

    Luis
