I don’t understand what is going on – I have a Bing/Microsoft Ads feed created where I have selected “Category” to be mapped to “Google Product Category”.

But what is showing up in the feed is NOT my Woocommerce categories. Instead, it is showing categories like “Arts & Entertainment” and “Home and Garden” – it seems to be getting this from the GOOGLE product categories, which is not what I’m trying to do.

Also I want to do the same thing with my Google Feed but map my Woocommerce categories there to Custom Label 0.

So to do this, I need to know what the name of the field is in Product Feed Pro that I should be mapping in order to output the actual WOOCOMMERCE categories of my products, please?

And it would REALLY help if the 20 million different mappable fields in the plugin actually had sensible names and explanations for what they are. Is there some sort of support document that explains what each field will actually output?

I would have assumed that “Category” was the main Woocommerce category and the field for mapping to the Google Category should be called “Google Category”

    Instead we get
    “Category”
“Category not used for mapping” (what is the point in this field if it’s not to be used?) and
“Google Category for rules and filters only”

None of these fields seem to be what I’m looking for. Which field am I supposed to use to output the actual woocommerce product category?

    Hi @adamford ,

“Category” – This mapping field uses the Category assigned to the product. If you are looking to set specific categories, you could try adding a single tag and using the tag to map things.

What??? No it doesn’t!! I think you’ve misunderstood the question.

The Category that is being mapped from that field is the GOOGLE product category, not the Woocommerce one. How do I map the WOOCOMMERCE product category?

    Hi @adamford,

If you wish to add the WooCommerce Category to your feed, you can use the Category Path for the attribute value. It will display the category like the following: Home > Mens Fashion

However, if you only wish to show a single category term, instead of the path, you can select the Category path short value; for multiple categories, select the Category (not used for mapping) value.

    Cheers!
