How to manage event registration authorizations

  • Hi,

    I am currently using The Events Calendar to post events on my wordpress website. I use the free version since I do not use any advanced functionnalities : I use microsoft forms to manage event registrations (i have to check that the attendees are eligible by emailing or calling them to check some information).

    However I am currently thinking about other ways of working that might be more efficient. I browsed the events calendar functionnalities but i did not read anyting about event registration authorization, even with the pro version. Does anyone know if it is provided with this plug in or if another one is better ? Or should I keep using MS forms ?

  • How do you decide who is “eligible”?

    You mentioned “by calling or emailing them to check some information”.

    Are you merely asking for this information? If so, why is that not part of the registration form?

    If you’re calling to VERIFY the information they’ve already submitted during the registration, is there a way this “verification” can be automated?

    We are accompanying disabled youth, hence why we prefer to call them to check specific needs they might have not mentioned in the forms “open questions” and to be sure that they understood the goals of what they registered for ! sometimes they registered for an internship recruiting day but they are actually looking for a job for instance so we have to cancel their registration and redirect them to the appropriate event. Would that be possible through the events calendar ?
