    Hello,

I was trying to improve/simplify my optimisation toolkit and I’ve tested & configured your plugin on the test domain (not on CF APO) and all was nice.

However, when I enabled WP-Optimize the edge caching on Cloudflare stopped working.

I was using this guide to validate if CF APO works but all I have seen was cf-cache-status: BYPASS or REVALIDATED and the cached content was served by origin.

It will be hard to reproduce the issue as I had to roll back to the previous setup (without WP-Optimize), but I hope it’s a known issue and you can help/advise on how to fix this.

    Thanks

  • Hey @igor4wp! First off, Cloudflare APO is an amazing tool—it’s a CDN-level cache, which is incredibly fast and efficient. The great news is, WP-Optimize and Cloudflare APO can absolutely work together. That said, you don’t necessarily need WP-Optimize’s page caching when APO is enabled, as APO already handles caching at the edge. If you’ve noticed issues like cf-cache-status: BYPASS, it might be worth disabling WP-Optimize’s caching to avoid any potential overlaps while still using its other features like database optimization and image compression. APO is so good on its own that you can let WP-Optimize focus on its strengths. Just clear the caches in Cloudflare tools after making any changes, and you should be all set.

    Thank you @wpmansour,

My plan was to use WP-Optimize for server caching for those cases when CF edge cache isn’t available (for whatever reason).

If I understood correctly, you don’t have a standard cure for bypass issue?

    Please advise

It should work without any issues; however, I’ll forward this to our development team for further consideration.

Maybe this evidence would be helpful for your devs

    Sure. Thank you for that!
