How to make WP number the posts one by one?

Just use the default permalink structure in Settings -> Permalinks.

re-read it please. It wont let them go one by one. It goes one after few.

That’s because the “missing” numbers are post revisions or media attachments.

nope I just made a post for a test. it was number 21 the next bumber ws 28.

The other numbers (ids) will be post revisions or attachments.

Why not use permalinks structure with post names ?

Something like:

You simply can not achieve this. The ids are managed by MySQl and used by WP to connect “things” together.

What you could do is change your permalinks structure to ‘Post name’ and change pages slugs to be 1, 2,3 so the urls would be

https://bestamazingplaces.com/3/
