How to make WP not show a certain category in the default home page?

    Hi,

    Is there any way to configure WP not to show any of the entries with a specific tag or entries from specific category in the default home page?

    foe example I want to hide all posts from the photo category to be hidden from the default stack and then create a new page to show only those entries for the user looking for my photoblog.

    Is it possible? if yes, can you please let me know how?
