  • WordPress is a heavily developed and frequently updated opensource project.
    As such, the base installation has a lot of security features built in, and any flaws/holes are quickly fixed.

    Therefore focus on improving security in the features what are out of core team’s ability to fix.

    – keep your installation up to date
    – don’t use themes or plugins that are not hosted on wordpress.com/extend
    Payed closed source themes don’t always guarantee security.
    – keep your server secure

    Your system is as strong as it’s weakest link. WordPress won’t improve an insecure server, so be careful what else you use on the same box.

    Try using WordFence for securing your site, it seems to be great by majority user reviews.

    @pann gave the above suggestion. Did you try that? It seems you are still running WordPress version: 3.3.2. That is a big negative.
