How to make two columns in post page that are separate from each other

hello,
I would like to make a two column post page, that each column will show a category posts.
for example:
column 1=category “tours” and column 2=category “live shows”.
Let’s say I want to add this on a page called “toursdate”
I have a post category “news” as my home page and I don’t want the result of the two column on page “toursdate” to change anything on my “news” category.
I search a lot on google and didn’t find anything to make this work.
I am using a child of the theme twenty eleven.
Is there a plugin to do that? Could you show me some codes?
I am thinking this is a lot of help to ask so I will be grateful to any help.
