How to make this work on a responsive site?

I like this plug-in, but is there a way to make it work nicely with a responsive theme? Because it’s necessary to put a width in the widget, the plug-in doesn’t scale properly with responsive themes.
When viewed on a regular computer or laptop, it looks great. But it hangs off the edge of the page when viewed on a smartphone or tablet.
Is there some other way to input the settings so this will work?
